Small Business Accounting

As a small business owner you have three basic areas to manage: Operations, Marketing & Accounting

As a small business owner you have three basic areas to manage. (1) Operations. You’re probably really great at providing the service or product you are in business to sell, which is why you went into business in the first place. (2) Marketing. You have to figure out how to get customers and keep them coming, right? Without customers you would have no business. (3) Accounting. If you’re like most small business owners, or like most people in general, you don’t enjoy accounting, and it usually continues to sit at the bottom of your to-do list. After all, how do you justify spending all day figuring out how to track your money, when you could be out actually making more money? If this sounds like your situation, then it probably makes sense to have me take care of your books for you.

Each month or quarter I’ll do the following things for you:

  • Reconcile your bank account
  • Clean up your general ledger
  • Generate an income statement
  • Generate a balance sheet

Your income statement and balance sheet can provide valuable information to help you make decisions on how to run your business, besides being necessary for tax purposes. You can customize the package of services you receive by adding payroll, tax planning, tax preparation, or any of our other services.
